Ingredients
  

  • cups basil fresh, packed
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • ¾ cup olive oil
  • cup pine nuts
  • cup parmesan cheese grated, 1 ounce
  • cup pecorino cheese grated, 1 ounce
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper

Instructions
 

Food processor preparation

  • Add the garlic and pine nuts and pulse until they are chopped finely.
  • Add the basil, salt and pepper and blend on high speed. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the pesto has reached the proper smoothness. For a thinner sauce add additional olive oil.
  • Add the cheese and pulse until combined.

Blender preparation

  • Combine all of the ingredients and blend until the sauce has reached the desired consistency.
