Grilled Cabbage Steaks with Gremolata

Grilled cabbage with gremolata is the perfect healthy side dish for a perfect summer meal. It is easy to make and only has a few ingredients. This is a great side to accompany any grilled meats or seafood.

  • Pastry brush
  • Sheet pan

Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 cabbage large
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons gremolata
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the grill to 400°F or 200°C.
  • Slice the cabbage into 6 - ½ inch thick steaks.

  • One a sheet pan brush the cabbage with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
    ¼ cup olive oil, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon pepper
  • Place on the grill and cook for 7 minutes per side. Be careful with your flip as the outer leaves might be charred and may try and separate from the cabbage.
  • While the cabbage is cooking mix the gremolata with the remaining olive oil.
    2 tablespoons gremolata, ¼ cup olive oil
  • Once the cabbage is done remove from the grill and brush the gremolata on top.
