In a mixing bowl combine the agave syrup, tequila, garlic powder, salt, pepper, paprika, jalapeños, cilantro, lime juice, and lime zest. Whisk to combine. Place the wings into a bag and pour the marinade on top. Removing as much air as possible seal the bag and let marinate in the refrigerator for an hour. If using a bowl add the chicken to the bowl cover and refrigerate for an hour.
Preheat your grill to 425°F or 220°C.
Remove wings from marinade and place onto the grill over indirect heat. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until the internal temp is 165°F or 74°C. Remove from the grill.
While the wings are cooking in a saucepan bring the marinade to a boil and reduce by half and had thickened. If you want a thicker sauce make a slurry of a tablespoon of tequila and teaspoon of corn starch and add that to the reduced liquid allow to thicken and remove from the heat.
Serve wings with with the glaze and your favorite dips.
