Ingredients
 
 

  • 4 pork chops 1 inch thick, bone in

Soy marinade

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar unseasoned
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ tablespoon ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl combine the soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, garlic powder, pepper, paprika and olive oil.
  • Place the pork chops in a Ziploc bag and then pour the marinade into the bag. Remove as much air as possible and seal. Allow to marinate for at least 1 hour but no more than 4.
  • Heat the grill to 400°F or 200°C.
  • Sear each side of the pork chop for 2 minutes and then move to indirect heat or reduce the heat and cook for another 10 minutes flipping halfway through or until the inside reaches 165°F or 74°C.

Make a glaze (optional)

  • In a saucepan cook the marinade until it reduces by half and brush over the pork chops
